| The
typical home builder is not terribly concerned
with aesthetic issues in the basement. The nature
of the home construction process is such that
each subcontracting specialist performs their
work in a serial fashion; the plumbing is followed
by the heating/AC vent installation which is followed
by the electric etc.
The
usual result is that your basement ceiling is
strewn with various pipes, vents and beams, which
need to be covered via the ceiling. Implicit in
this task is that the already somewhat low ceiling
needs to be lowered an additional 6"-12"
in all such areas to cover all the obstructions

The
Sovereign Difference |
| At
Sovereign, we recognize that space is limited and
as a result, it is our intent to maximize your livable
space. Therefore our policy regarding ceiling obstructions
is to consolidate as many of these obstructions
as practical to limit the area above your head that
needs to be lowered to cover these conduits, saving
precious head space. |
