| The
basement is the location of what we refer to as
the "mechanicals"; The mechanicals are
the plumbing, heating and air conditioning (HVAC),
and electrical systems that enable your home to
function properly. They include such things as
your furnace, water heater and sump pump.
These
items often times have large "foot prints"
in that they take up a lot of floor space. In
addition, as with the issue of the bath, the mechanicals
are often times not located in a logical area
of your floor space in order to maximize your
basement's living area. They become major obstacles
to the logical flow of a lower level design. |

The
Sovereign Difference |
| Unbeknownst
to most people, the mechanicals can also be relocated.
At Sovereign, this option will be pursued to the
extent necessary and possible. Again this is not
always an easy task as pipes, vents and plumbing
may need to be re-routed. Yet the benefit is that
it can open up what was before unusable floor
space.
Rather
than having what is essentially a large closet
in the middle of your floor plan to hide your
mechanicals, relocating them, affords you greater
open space with your mechanicals tucked neatly
away in a corner. |
